This isn’t our first lease but will be our first one we take to term and return. My EV6 lease expires in the beginning of August. I test drove an i4 which I really enjoyed so that’s the direction I want to go. I’ve negotiated a few leases but I want to go with a broker this time because I don’t really need any more grey hair. I’m in the Memphis area and found a few brokers that do deals here.
The question is how soon is too soon. I don’t want to annoy or give the impression I’m wasting people’s time but I need to have the new vehicle before I turn in the EV6. I’m pretty open on exterior/interior/trim combinations and even between the eDrive40 and the xDrive40 depending on the monthlies. The only options I’m set on is Premium and DApro which surprisingly seems tough to find. Ordering to spec is an option but I’ve never dealt with that before and complicates my question of when to get the ball rolling.
Hi there! Since you have time, you should just order. Right now, dealerships have March allocations, which will arrive in April. If you want a car to arrive in August, you should go with a June allocation, to be safe, and get it at the end of July (much harder to time an August arrival properly when it’s between different makes). Those will be allocated to dealerships at the end of April. We’re happy to help when it’s time!
If you want the best deals you just gotta go with what’s available at the time. I’m sure there will be another crazy bmw/Mercedes incentive program over the course of the next 6 months. You’ll know when all you see on the forums is the same car models from all the brokers. You just gotta be flexible though as since you’ll get a loaner. Just scour the market place over the next few months.
last July for instance I snagged a fully optioned glc350e 72k msrp for 500/month with 3k DAS at 12k/24M. The effective was 625/month. Insane incentive deals at the time but usually they have 1 or of these throughout the year but maybe nothing as crazy as that again.
