I think that the pre-facelift version actually might have a drawer in that area?
That’d be nice, wouldn’t it?
Yes, there was a small glove box there by your left knee in the pre-facelift where one might keep sunglasses and other stuff (as there isn’t any sunglass on the top console where the rear view mirror is).
Left knee glove box in action
(the left knee drawer was very aparent to me as I had it on almost all my prior cars (VW, Mazda, etc) and used it.)
That is just one example as they got rid of laser-lights, sport side bolsters are missing on the driver’s seat, lumbar and the sport side bolsters are missing on the front passenger seat, reduced interior lightning, etc. (there’s a full list discussed on dedicated BMW forums).
These are small details and I think they are more obvious to owners of the pre-facelifted version but it is something I did noticed and the increase in price.
The only thing I wished my car had (and the reason I even consider changing) is the lack of M-Sport package combined with adaptive suspension (adaptive suspension is just a $550 option and haven’t seen any of them in this configuration on dealer lots in my area (neither in '21, or now))
Either way they have just one 330i with M-Sport, without adaptive suspension (deal breaker) that will arrive in 4 weeks at their dealership for $55k MSRP. They said for the option I want, I should make an order and that is 10 weeks wait time and for now I’m going to wait and see how the market will look like at the end of the year.
