Located in FL. My lease is ending in about 100 days. I’m really happy with the car (2018 Dodge Charger) and I’m pretty sure I’ll end up keeping it. Will Chrysler Capital require a lease end inspection if I decide to keep it? As for financing the residual value which is $16,500, can I finance it with CC or do I have to get a loan from another bank? If through CC, do they offer deals like lowering residual price? Thanks.
You don’t need to get an inspection if you’re going to buy it out at lease-end.
As to financing, not even sure it’s possible to finance a buy out like this through CCAP since it’s not a new car, but regardless you can use any bank you want. Just shop it for the lowest rate you can find.
Also, if you’re going to buy it out you do not need to wait until your lease is over, you can buy it now for whatever your current payoff is. Keep in mind since you’re in FL that a lease end buyout has to go through the dealer again (AFAIK) which typically means another doc fee
This is a case where dealer shopping helps a lot. With some brands, there are dealers that sometimes won’t charge all the fees on a buy out… you just have to find them.
If OP is financing the used car they will ‘especially’ not charge ‘fees’ on that side to get them good on the other.
Thx for the info, especially the last part about having to go through the dealership. I was not aware of this. Is that a FL law? I can’t just deal with CC directly and not have to deal with the dealership? I feel that having the dealership involved they will somehow try to screw me.
Fl law unfortunately
