How accurate is the lease calculator on here? Are the monthly payments I calculated really what I should be looking from a dealer?
I am looking to lease a VW Golf. The best deal I’ve been able to find is 250 per month zero down all taxes and fees rolled in. But when I used the lease calculator with a even conservative sale prices and RV and MF I got from edmunds it tells me payments should be just below 200.
The calculator on this site will present correctly. Dealers are known for giving bad lease quotes because most people shop on payment. They are thinking, “$250 - that sounds like a good payment!”, even if it is full MSRP. People on here sometimes suggest asking around for sales prices before incentives, and then you can ask for lease numbers from there. In the end, the math can not be faked - something has to give: sales price, money factor, etc.
