My wife and I are moving to Northeastern PA in the first week of June and need two new vehicles as we are coming from abroad. I am happy to work with a broker to save stress and time, but am hoping we can find a broker who won’t charge us two fees as we are fine getting the same car, although we are flexible on this. Maybe some discount on car #2 would be great.
It’s three months away, and deals for leases change frequently, so when would you advise we start contacting brokers or dealers? NJ and possibly even NY is generally fine too.
Our top choics are Hyundai Ioniq 5, Hyundai Tuscan PHEV, Kia EV6, Kia Niro EV, or other EVs or PHEVs. Sedan or SUV or Van all in consideration. We don’t both need the same car but would consider.
Where will you be coming from and what be your status in the US? Asking because if you’re coming from another country and do not have credit history in the US, your lease/financing options will be limited.
There are ways around it but it may cost more and limit your options. Brokers/Dealers who are familiar with expat programs for specific makes can help. You can also search the LH forums for other experiences. Good luck!!
But while you’re looking around, start going through the Marketplace posts and you can get an idea of what they deals are over the next few months. The Tri-state is such a huge market that you’re bound to be able to find something.
