We are in the market for a new large SUV for my wife. We like Lincoln navigators as they tend to be having good rebates due to the new redesign for the 2018, but are open to others. Which large SUV would you suggest to lease (or would it be better to purchase)? We would like leather and 2nd row bucket seats (if available on the car) and 15K miles/yr. We do not want an acadia-type crossover.
Since I’m new to leasing and hate dealing with salesmen, I would rather hire a broker. Are there any that you suggest in the south (Mississippi, Arkansas, or Tennessee)?
Also, what is the cheapest low mileage lease available on a small car? Thinking of getting one just for commute to work. Need something that gets good mpg and not opposed to electric cars.
Look at the Infiniti QX80 it will be a lot cheaper than the Navigator. A QX80 awd with a few options, msrp 71-2k would go for in the 730s pretax w/ 2k at signing and 15k. Assumes NY incentives/DMV
Good luck to you. The larger Ford/Lincoln products are not leasing well, but can be good purchase values if you must have one. We went through a similar exercise a few months ago - tried the Acadia and Traverse. Acadia was way too small, both were less than comfortable. Looked at Infiniti QX60, but was trying for too much of a discount and couldn’t find a decent deal. Looked at Suburban/Tahoe, but this was the month after Asian conquest so they didn’t lease well and in order to get leather you needed to get the LT trim which seemed to add 10k to cost and the 3rd row, although better was still less than ideal for my family. In the end, bought a 2017 Expedition for ~27% off. It was the car wife wanted, so really that is all that matters.
If you are open to slightly smaller vehicles, the Volvo XC90 and Lexus GX460 are leasing fairly well now.
Re: your commuter, look at a 3 yr old Nissan Leaf for 6-10K, especially if you have any electric vehicle benefits at work.
Coming from a household with a couple Lincoln’s. Stay away from them. For the price you can do much better. You may even be able to get the big Lexus for the same note depending on how your dealer wants to move them.
$88 a month on a NIssan Sentra or $117 on A rogue. Can’t be beat IMHO…
The lexus GX460 fits the bill quite well. It is not as big s a navigator but I doubt that you are carrying 7 full size football athletes all the time …
