Just move MD to Pa and Tex went up

Be sure to specify your location when asking for input on a deal! Tagging by state (e.g. CA, NJ, NY) is mandatory.

I used pay $493 with tax.

Price went up $44.37 for Tax.

Is it right calculate ??

Thanks.

Well what’s the difference in tax rates between the 2 states? Pretty simple calculation.

So you capitalized all or a portion of maryland tax, you then moved to a state that charges state, county, and a 3% usage tax on monthly payments.

Assuming you don’t live in Allegheny or Philly, 9%. That means pa is taxing the tax you rolled into your monthly in Maryland, plus a lovely 9% on the payment and whatever % of selling price you capitalized in Maryland.

I live in Blue bell. 19422

Blue Bell, has a 6% state sales tax, no county or city tax, and 3% pa usage tax tagged onto the 6% sales tax, for a total of 9% on monthly payments.

Thanks. Big help.

Moving to a different zip code will do that. Annoying, but that’s just the way it is. We’re at 10%+ in areas here in LA county.

Well yeah, but it’s not just that. MD taxes upfront on selling price, while PA is on monthly, OP rolled taxes into monthly so he’s getting the wonderful world of wolf’s double jeopardy, tax on selling price, then another state taxing the tax and they still won’t fix the d#@m roads.

They still have the recovery act signs up in some places on 81 and the turnpike.
