Definitely going to drive over the largest pothole I can find ASAP, for science.

Will there be a tariff due at delivery?

The supplier has claimed there will not be and that everything is paid for, but that’s part of the mystery and fun. They’re on the boat, should be a few weeks before they land in CA. I’ve already got a Fedex tracking number for when they end up on a truck for final delivery.

This post is so exciting. Reminds me of the reptime sub Reddit where people order high end fake watches. I have no doubt the wheels will be fantastic. It’s the tariffs that have me worried

Definitely didn’t appreciate the announcement that they would now be 100% instead of the already outrageous 72%

Though I think that was reversed already? Who knows. Guess I’ll find out soon.

Somewhat out of nowhere they’re due to be dropped off at my doorstep sometime tomorrow (I hadn’t been keeping an eye on the tracking # via Fedex). No additional money changed hands, so however they made it work, I guess it did. Should have time to get new tires and everything put on by next week, pics to follow.

Packaging was very nice – thick double boxed cardboard, inserts to keep everything in place, custom sized foam coverings for the rims on both sides. Look great on the floor, time will tell on the road. Just ordered the tires and am getting them installed Friday morning.

Did you end up having to pay tarrifs or was it covered?

Nothing additional, though I guess we’ll see if the government finds this post…

Hi just wondering if you’ve hit a pothole on purpose for science yet?

I think everyone have a $800ish tariff free for personal use(just like you can bring two bottles of wine tax free when come back to the US)

We bought a lot of things in China directly and bulk shipping, never have any tariff issue.

I bought my pickup tonneau cover, alloy and retractable, for about $340 + $200 shipping, I don’t know how they find such cheap shipping option TBH. Better than those $1200ish claimed to be made in the US(only the package box maybe)
