Signed a Jeep GC 4x4 Limited deal last week (24 month / 10k). Financing office said they messed up the taxes on my lease and need to send a new lease agreement in (which is believable as they had to do this across state lines and accidents happen). At the same time, I noticed that my car is clearly a demo unit as it has 2,000 miles on it….which somehow and embarrassingly I did not notice at day of signing.
Trying to not let myself be taken advantage of here as I know they might try to pressure me to sign as jeep incentives change tomorrow too.
My main question is does mileage impact the RV? If so, how much? Any tips / advice as I walk in tomorrow would be appreciated too as I have never had to come back to the dealer before.
About 10% off before incentives, had I known it was a demo I would have tried to push for more, but this is also the Midwest and wouldn’t have expected to get a much better deal.
Who gets charged the penalty? I am going to sign an ally lease today on grand Cherokee limited that has 2600 miles. It was driven by the manager. It’s a 24/12k lease with black appearance package/lux package and upgraded speakers for 490 a month 3k down
Sticker is 55,545…but it’s marked down 10 percent with incentives. My hesitation is the 3k down. Ally has the residual on the 24 month lease at 79 percent but the money factor is higher than Chrysler capital.
$3k down shouldn’t be your first hesitation. You should be asking why you’d spend $14,000+ or almost $600/month for a 24m GC lease.
That’s a lot, to say the least, if not insane. For the most common body style in the market, a 2-row crossover.
Check Jeep listings from brokers. Also check Nissan deals which may be cheaper. But if the difference between $3,000 DAS and $1,500 DAS is any form of hardship, then leasing may not be right for you. That’s not an insult. That’s just common sense. 72 months of $600 payments would pay off most 2-row crossovers in the market and leave you with all the equity. You’re leaving something like $12,000-15,000 on the table with this strategy.
