I went a NJ dealer today asking about Grand Cherokee L - Altitude/Limited trims. The salesperson showed me pricing with 5k+ markup. Is he insane or it is just norm? The parking lot is full of cars to sell.

It should have been a minus, not a plus
My gc 4xe had a +$3999 market adjustment on the window. I didnt even know they had it on there until i was taking the paperwork out of it at home and saw it with the window sticker. Just because it’s on the window doesnt mean you have to pay it.
Can’t blame them for trying, but I think a polite nudge
and a reminder that you’re not that guy is all it takes these days to get some honest pricing.

In the past, If I saw an ADM on a dealer pricing on a car I’m interested in I had always decided not to engage.
Will change that strategy going forward.
