You left out the thousands of dollars in tax in your thread title. Makes it a click bait title. Its sorta like if you left out thousands in trade equity.
I put it as pre tax and then explained it’s about $100 more in tax inside of the thread. I thought it helps others get close to that base payment before taxes
NJ charges tax upfront. 6.625% of the total lease cost plus, if applicable, a luxury title surcharge of 0.4% of the selling price. You cannot get any of that back.
If you live in NC (just 3% tax on monthly), why wouldn’t you just sign a deal based on NC residency and taxes?
Yeah at this point I think DJrabbi just needs his dad in NC to sign a limited power of attorney to allow DJ to register cars on his father’s behalf in NC. The dude will be flippin’ cars all along the eastern coast.
NJ is a carb state and NC isn’t. I would lose out on over 4,000 rebates.
I have done it in the past when I registered in NJ and flipped it to either NC or Montana… CCAP would adjust the taxes on my monthly. They probably didn’t understand it was already paid. I know what you are saying but CCAP didn’t catch on.
Now I am thinking it might be a SFS lease but I will find out on the weekend. Either way, I plan on keeping this car vs flipping
