Jeep 4XE - Tread Lightly Discount and Critical Pricing Questions

,

The Tread Lightly program, currently in effect for the Wrangler 4XE yields 1% below dealer invoice. We all know this.

BUT on each dealer invoice are two line items, designated as “invoice cost” however one is much less than the other.

There is an FFP line item which is several thousand dollars MORE than the EP line item.

There is an FFP cost which is an “invoice cost” and a EP cost which is also an “invoice cost.”

One percent below the FFP cost is significantly higher than 1 percent below the EP cost.

So the question is, for the Tread Lightly Program, are we entitled to 1 percent below the EP cost OR 1 percent below the FFP cost?

And lastly, where in writing is this information? Because if the dealer tells you they are selling the car at 1% below the FFP cost it is nowhere near the deal were they to tell the Jeep at the EP cost or even slightly above the EP cost.

Thanks in advance! Hope this question is helpful and beneficial to the community!

Bottom line, is a dealer selling at what they say is invoice and is selling at EP cost is a GREAT deal. Selling at FFP cost is not a good deal! And will cost SEVERAL thousand more. What is the dealer “supposed” to do for the tread lightly program?
