This is correct. People (a lot of people!) are talking about Jaguar.
Compare that to the last decade.

I see your point, but this type of âviralâ engagement is usually short-lived and does not necessarily translate to success. Engagement with the brand will go back to zero by next week.
According to the article on C&D, they are aiming to move upwards in the market and make âultra-luxuryâ EVs. Putting aside the fact of how questionable of a business decision that is (Jaguar does not have the brand power to be successful in that space) - the individuals who for some reason may be considering buying one of their cars down the line will not base their purchase on some sort of cultural ârevolutionâ which is what their ad seems to promote.
But going back to the business decision itselfâŚare they really thinking that making super expensive EVs is going to be their road to success? In light of everything happening to EVs and the EV market? This feels like a business plan that was put in place a couple of years ago and became stale by the time it came to launchâŚ
The DEI rebrand will fail. Just like all of them last few years.
100% - and if you were to put together a brand aimed at catering to âDEIâ (for lack of a better term), youâd imagine pricing would be tailored to meet the demands of your target consumer.
Epic Fail !!!
âJaguar has debuted new logos and graphic designs, preparing to relaunch itself as an exclusive, high-priced luxury EV brand that competes in the league of Rolls-Royce and Bentley.â
If I I could afford a RR Spectre, I wouldnât settle for a Jaguar EV.
Care to elaborate? What does DEI have to do with the rebrand?
Jaguar has already failed. Blaming this ad campaign for its failure is like blaming the violinists for Titanicâs sinking.
Well, wasnât their ad campaign to introduce their EV lineup? Am I missing something?
Supposedly weâll get to see the concept car (potentially I-Type) at the Miami art show first week of December. If rumors are true, theyâre going all in with a $200k+ EV to rival the RR Spectre. RIP Jaguar
I think this is the main issue and why this car, regardless of how good it is, is doomed to failure.
But maybe that means itâll be a LH unicorn. Woo-hoo!
What if they come up with the F-type EV?
No product, no strategy⌠ad campaigns are just noise at this point.
I think JLR needs to just give up on the J and be LR. I donât see any Jags in the showrooms on LI. Theyâre only used as loaner cars now. Not withstanding this ridiculous ad campaign, nobody wants one and going the ultra luxury route, no less ultra luxury EV, is going to be their final nail in the coffin imo
Iâm buying a CPO 2022 F-pace SVR while I still can. Awesome value, awesome car, and reliability seems to have been pretty strong. Last of the good ones
If ever a brand existed that was perpetually on life support, itâs Jaguar. Itâs been thus since the 1970s if not earlier, across multiple owners. Far from epitomizing the majesty of the largest feline of the western hemisphere, itâs some mangy thing that needs to be put out of its misery.
IDK how many obituaries have been written for the leaping cat because IDC. The joke that JLR stands for âJust Land Roverâ has been around for a while.
Whoa I thought this was an ad for the relaunch of the Pontiac Trans Sport but turns out it is for a different dead brand. Crazy!
