Program Description

GMFCD_A102FZ: GM Financial (Supported Lease Program) Inc Code Xaa Tier At - Credit Score 700+ - Flat Fee Program - Zero Sec. Dep. - OH - Program Expires 4/1/2026

Should be realistic (meaning you should find a taker at this offer price).

I wasn’t able to reproduce the exact numbers in the calculator, but:

  • The doc fee in Ohio is capped at $398. This looks like an offer from an out of state dealer. The $999 doc fee is clawing back almost 1% of the dealer discount ((999-398) / 66300) so this is actually ~9%
  • One pay will save you ~$1,400 over the term of the lease (~$60 a month effective)
  • If you decide to stay with the considerably more expensive monthly payment plan instead, consider paying more upfront. You’ve almost maxed out what you could possibly pay in rent charges by paying so little at signing.
  • Your government fees will be closer to $300 than $500, but that should work itself out, but maybe they’re charging you ~$200 for a runner to do the OOS registration.

I don’t think you need to go OOS to get 10%, and if you stay in OH you’ll have a lower doc fee and you wouldn’t have to pay for a runner (if that’s in play here).

Don’t forget about the GM Rewards card ($500) unless all signers on the lease already have one.

You should be able to get a stronger deal on a loaner.

However, he (or she) says he has the GM Supplier incentive, so going out of state might be beneficial because that state may not regulate the doc fee, and thus, it will be capped at $75.

It’s absolutely worth asking about, but that doesn’t appear to be this dealer’s interpretation of the program rules.

And there is a second carveout.

What do I need to change on this lease proposal should I change the doc fee to $398 and take the car down only 9% ? Thanks for all your help

Are you trying to counter an offer from an out of state dealer, or are you trying to decide how to present an offer to an Ohio dealer? It wasn’t clear from your first post.

Does anyone have the list of GM suppliers that qualify for the friends code? I am trying to find someone to ask.

Thanks. Looks like not only do they need to work there they need to have bought a GM car in the last year.

To share with someone other than a “sponsored spouse” I believe that’s true. We’ve only used the incentive as “self” (employed by the participating employer) or “sponsored spouse.”

Out of state Ohio dealerships all to high ( quoted 6/7 hundred a month with all incentives ) when the cars are just sitting on lots there not selling

So what? Put together your target payment/DAS and make offers!

I just got mine from an Ohio dealer in Feb, from the first dealer I contacted with a credible offer.

Same with our Blazer EV two years ago — closed on the first offer to a nearby Ohio dealer.

A lot of friction people attribute to geography is actually due to technique. I’m speaking from personal experience.

What dealer in Ohio? what is your payment a month? 2025 or 2026 model? Thanks

Read the first two posts in the thread I linked.

There are also 7 or 8 other LYRIQ loaner data points from Feb, at least half of which are better than mine and the rest are all compelling.

Model your offer after these, customized for whatever specific vehicle you target.

Mine was the only LYRIQ loaner this dealer had, but the dealer is immaterial.

There are something like 60 lower trim loaners within 350 miles of Columbus. You’ll find a taker at 11% (or more) off pre-incentive if you put in the work.

Success is the result of research, planning and effective shopping techniques. Asking for prices doesn’t work.
