Is this a good/bad deal 2021 Ram 1500 BH night edition

,

Trying to get a lease in a 2021 Ram 1500 BH night edition. Here’s what the dealer sent over. Any input would help

Based on the approximate $1,000 dealer discount alone on a $50k+ truck I’d say it’s pretty poor. Don’t put any cash down on the lease either. If it gets totaled or stolen you will lose that money. At most just pay taxes, fees and first month up front. Research the current leasing numbers and rebates for the vehicle you are looking for and send out requests for quotes from multiple dealers to see how they compare.

It is practically impossible for us to tell you what a “good” monthly payment is for your specific lease as lease programs are highly dependent on region, personal qualifications, tax rates, etc.

We always recommend the following method before you ever contact a dealership. If you do all of the work up front, you’ll have a stress free dealer experience and set yourself for success.

  1. Read Leasing 101 (Blog | LEASEHACKR) to understand how to calculate a lease payment and the variables. Monthly payment is an output, not an input!!
  2. Pick a specific vehicle that you want to target
  3. Gather the current MF, RV and incentives from Edmunds forums for your zip code
  4. Research the LH marketplace and other deals that have been made recently on your vehicle - what was their pre-incentive discount? How did their lease terms differ?
  5. Plug your numbers into the LH calculator, and use a pre-incentive discount similar to what you have seen
  6. Create a target deal, this is what you’re trying to negotiate to. You can try different terms, selling price discount, etc. and see how your monthly payment is affected. It is also possible that different trims of your vehicle may have different MF and RV (i.e. this is very common with GM), so make sure that you look into that. Come up with a set of inputs that give you the output that you want - your desired monthly payment.

With a target price determined, you now have a deal to pursue and compare dealer offers against. More importantly, you have a solid foundation to work from.

The 3469 is the drive off

Need more information, seeing a lot of different numbers.

Is it $3,469 DOWN + tax , first month, motor vehicle etc?

Dealers are willing to play ball less on a Night Editions due to limited availability but Big Horn inventory is a lot better than Laramies

Invoice is $49,841 so try to shoot for a selling price around there or less(pre-incentive) but depending on the store you can potentially get more.

Edit your thread title to include, at a minimum, the year, make, model and trim. @Lun_Sopah

Dealer said 3469 is my drive off, out the door

A lot of guys will tell you to do $0 DAS but for me personally I would never do anything beyond what inceptions cost.

Need to work on getting the selling price down .

Try and get a quote from other stores on a similar truck with a deal structure and use that to leverage the other store to discount the truck further.
