I never said they didn’t have a right to do it contractually. I was stating business ethics and long term strategic vision of the companies. This stinks of incompetent management that’s looking to make a quick buck without a clue about its long term impact. I personally have not suffered from this at all but I know people that have. I have traded in leases early in the past without issue, never thought twice about it. Had I been one of the people that couldn’t do it now after negotiating for something new then being told sorry they changed the policy I can tell you I’d never do business with that maker again. That’s also the feeling of many others. This brings me back to the days of the open end leases. There was no reason for these companies to do this. It’s what maybe a year solution, I am actually hoping the whole used car market tanks and they are left holding the bag. Shouldn’t matter much with Infiniti though they’ll be out of business soon enough. They haven’t made decent product since the 90’s TT 300zx
