Is it true you can apply for as many cars in a 30 day from

And it will count as 1 hard credit pull on your credit score. That’s what a guy told me from a dealership. He says a lot of people that need 2 or 3 cars usually do it all at once to combine the hard pull on their credit score

About to do it now so would appreciate some feedback

Yeah but I’d rather hear first hand as I’ve been screwed before by applying for two credit cards at once like I read on google and ended up getting denied for both because it triggered a “fraud alert”

I don’t trust this link, my experience is different.

Each time a dealer pull your credit, it puts 1 hard pull on your report. In fact, for whatever stupid reason, Chevrolet always do two at a time. They do it for their home bank, GM Financial, then another retail bank, like US Bank or whatever… I think this practice is bullshit. I don’t want them to shop by credit around…

Regardless of how they might evaluate same day pulls for credit score calculations, fact is, you got 2 pulls.

This is different than how credit card companies do it. If I apply for two Chase credit cards in one day, Chase only does one pull. The second card I apply for does not trigger a pull.

I find that car sales people generally don’t know what they are talking about when it comes to credit. So I wouldn’t take their advice.

But honestly, I don’t think there’s anything you can do about it. You’re just gonna have to take the hit if you want to buy a car.

I generally don’t provide my social security number until everything is done. But that’s just common sense.
