I can only afford to lease 2020 base models for suv and trucks but if i finance an older used one i can get a higher trim.
I cant decide. Anyone go through this as well? Id love to hear your input/ experience.
Thanks.
You can get a little of both and lease a loaner. You can find them for a great discount. Stack it up with rebates, incentives, MSDs low MF and you’ll be on your way.
Kind of a broad question so you’d have to be more specific with what kind of suv/truck you’re looking at and your budget
As long as you’re flexible about what SUV to get, highly likely you could get into a lease for a lower monthly than a CPO or 2-4 year old used car.
Added benefits: less maintenance in the first few years. This is likely a meaningful difference if you’re stretching to make a budget work.
Loaners are pretty rare (at least where I am in NJ) if you want a truck. They typically don’t put them in the loaner fleet. I think OP needs to do some research on here as you can lease a RAM or Tundra or Tacoma pretty cheap. Like buying one would more than double the payment.
What is your total budget for LEASING and FINANCING? $15k? $20k? Once you have figured that out, you can start researching vehicles you like.
Just get a tundra with leather, problem solved(lease of course)
Or at least give a sense for where ‘you need to be’ on a payment assuming you put zero down either way (if you can afford to put down a payment, you can probably afford a higher payment with zero down).
