Is dealer trying to get out of the agreed upon discount?

Is there a way to find what incentives BMW offered in October? I think the dealer is trying to find an excuse not to honor the $1,000 discount they offered on the 330e xdrive since BMW has cash back now. In October the local dealer agreed to take 1k off the MSRP and I was financing with my credit union. I don’t recall their being any dealer cash for financing last month.

BMW is currently offering the allowance below on the 330 e xdrive. I followed up with the dealer to confirm that I would be receiving $1k- discount as agreed upon from the dealer and $1500 Dealer allowance/cash back. He responded that it would only be $1,500, not the extra 1k. I asked why I would not be able to receive both since 1k was the agreed upon discount and the $1500 is from the manufacture and is new this month. He said BMW had 1k dealer cash back last month for financing/cash and that was what he was using to give me the 1k discount.

I looked and I couldn’t find the October incentives. Was there an allowance last month? I think I even saw on a post in this forum that the discount was new this month…. I cant find that post though ><

If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Im a chick trick that really knew nothing about financing until I started looking for this car. I just don’t want to be lied to or taken advantage of.

Did you order a vehicle last month or are you just going off an offer they made?

It’s a 3 series. They can afford to give you more than just the pass through money.

Get at me if you want a better deal.

I didnt order. They had one on the lot I was going to buy but another salesman sold it. They had this one due to come in at the end of the month and I was purchasing it

Idk if Im responding the right way, my intent is to reply to the individual person in the thread. Man technology is not my thing >< Do you need to order it? I need to purchase before the end of December so I can get the credit.

I got some inbound units.

I think, in general dealer is under no obligation to honor any discount from verbal offer made last month. I also think, your quest to figure out last month incentives will bear no fruits - even if you prove to dealer beyond reasonable doubt that there was no allowance last month, it wont’t persuade the dealer, as your salesperson clearly doesn’t feel like giving you this 1k and you can’t force them.

A more fruitful exercise would be to shop around and find a better deal, or engage with the broker here, and you even have one responding already.

Did you place a deposit to hold this one or at least get a price breakdown? It sounds like they’re under no obligation to do anything and they probably were just referencing the previous incentives as the discount anyway.

Oh I dont think they are under any obligation at all. Just dont BS me and make something up. I dont like when people just lie and the question was more for me to decide if I still want to go with the dealer. If he was bsing me, ill just go somewhere else.

@IAC when are they due to come in?

@mllcb42 I was supposed to put the deposit down tomorrow and go over the final numbers.

Sent you a possible match.
