Banks have insurance verification departments and get copies of a lot of changes you make on your policy so they will find out pretty quickly

Once GEICO asked me why did I change the deductible & I told them last 15+ years I never had claim, if I ever get into accident I have triple the amount of car value in my account. I just sent them my bank statements for verification.

I just got my stage 2 bmwfs transfer documents approved and attached a policy with $2k deductible. Not sure if this was an oversight by them or not? Pending stage 3 upon title arrival currently.
