Hi, First time posting and sporadic lurker. I’m interested to know how you guys work and operate. Would that be fine to ask here or would it be better to email you using one of the email links on the listings? But I’m curious about this post. I saw that on the build sheet, i can modify the mileage to be 15k and the price would go up slightly. If I do that, is all of the information accurate after I modify the mileage to suit me better or is the deal voided because I increased the mileage? Also, if I already contacted a dealership, how would the process change then? Can I use my own bank for financing or would it have to be someone else? Is this at any dealership or a specific one?
Like I mentioned earlier, first time using a broker, so the information would be greatly appreciated.

I used IAC for our current 2023 X5 a couple of years ago, and these questions are general so they’re answerable by anyone:
Vehicles are new unless they state they’re demos. They’re all leasable so not used (rare exceptions). IAC can also get an allocation with a deal on it if you want to order a vehicle.
You can modify the calculator for mileage and the price goes up, and the deals are still valid.
The deals are done through one of their networked dealers and thus you contacting a dealer has zero influence and nothing to do with IAC, a lease broker, or a deal here on leasehackr.
Once you pay IAC and agree on a vehicle, they’ll put you in contact with the SA at the dealership the vehicle is either at or being ordered at with the deal you’ve agreed on. Financing is as it would be if you were going through the dealer yourself.
If you attempt to go behind the broker’s back (i.e.: find the SA or dealer and contact them yourself trying to get the same deal), you’ll usually end up hurting yourself. The dealers they use give them deals because they bring in volume, and the dealers aren’t going to damage that relationship just to help one client out.
In a nutshell, and although there are varying levels of ‘concierge’ hand-holding depending on the broker, you’re paying them a fee to put you in contact with a dealer who will order, sell, or lease you a car at a pre-determined price.
I’m back on the forum because we intend to use a broker again for another car this year, so for us it was totally worth it.

I’ve used @IAC on multiple deals. If you don’t want to spend hours going back and forth with dealers just reach out to them. Your time is worth it.
When looking at the pricing, keep in mind that sales tax varies by state. So, if a deal is set up with TX sales tax, but you’re in OK, then the pricing will vary to take into account the way your state taxes leased vehicles.

There are other reputable brokers on this forum. I’ve only used @IAC plus one other one for a Jeep deal. But @IAC does have connections with other brands as well. They’ll let you know if they can help you.
