Is it possible to create lease deal on 45e that leverages treasury announcement that consumer lease can claim the 7500 tax credit?
I’m not aware of any pass through provision on an X5 45e lease and the only way one would get a credit now is to retail and hope it arrives before further guidance is released in March assuming you meet the other requirements.

I can’t due to being just above income cap which is dumb. I was hoping a lease could circumvent that restriction. There are some debate on reddit but no clarity on this yet.
I just checked specific program for X5 45e and see no pass through still.

The January programs are out and unlikely to change. The guidance from treasury on Section 45 came late for most captives who were not already doing this to consider it. I wouldn’t expect to see anything different before February programs at the earliest, but I suspect even for the ones that offer some/all pass-through it won’t be for a couple months.
