Wondering if anyone here is daily driving a Grenadier. What is your experience as it relates to highway/city driving? Are you having any mechanical/electrical issues? How does it behave in rain/snow?
Having had a very short test drive, I know I need to give it another try. I realize that it has a bunch of concessions as a daily driver but I find it to be one of the coolest SUVs out there and there are deals to be had. What are your thoughts?
Iâve been considering checking one out, personally.
Do you like road noise, and whatever the opposite of a plush, comfortable ride is?

Admittedly I think it is pretty cool, ran the numbers on it one or two months ago and I wouldnât throw it in the âdealâ category just yet however that it subjective on the person.
A broker here had 14% off and even with base mf and the rv still seemed like it was a stretch as much I appreciate a solid suv.
Itâs based on / inspired by the OG LR Defender which may be the most âundailyâ SUV ever
My first two choices were the Lexus GX and the BRaptor. Both are basically impossible to get a decent lease deal on.
Iâm thinking that I might just bide my time and wait for the most appealing deal on one of themâŚeventually lol
If you want a deal in a similar catagory and can do an ev. The hummer is the best lease deal out there
Daily? OP, is your daily commute the Dakar rally? I have a friend who owns a raptor. I dread going inside it. Between saying prayers every time we get off highway exits where the suspension dips sideways 10 inches and I pray he doesnât make any sudden movements and we donât flip, or the insane drone of off road tires on smooth pavement, itâs not a pleasant experience. Iâll never understand the Wrangler/Raptor crowd. Theyâll drive 2% of rhe life of rhe car off road ( possibly close to .2%) yet sacrifice safety, handling, braking, noise etc for that weird âFlexâ. Go for the Lexus.
I doubt it compares to a Lexus, but my Bronco Raptor was extremely comfortable to drive, highway or backroads.

I have pretty diverse automotive ownership experience, although I admittedly donât drive fluffy cars. Funny, I was just thinking today I should probably update my avatar pic. lol

Oh no! You found one of the cars I leased 4 cars ago as a 2nd car instead of paying oversge miles my 1st car lease. Oh I pray you didnât discover that I was able to get a great deal on an Encore and tell everyone here about it! The shame Iâll feel! 
Iâm now on my second IG. Ordered a Donny Grey Trialmaster (#1) in 2023 and took delivery in January 2024@Warner@Warner Ineos Grenadier in SLC. Did the Moab thing and trekked 3K+ miles home. Yes, it wandered on the road at speed, but nothing that is not manageable. Kept it for 6K miles and generally loved it.
The Recaro seat debacle delayed my receipt (expected in Fall 2024) of a reserved 1924 Belstaff for what would end up being an extra 5 months - so I passed initially. Substituted a new MY25 Lexus GX 550 OT+ in March. Iâd give it a B+. A lot to like - smooth transmission, decent power, and comfy. Biggest niggles for me were the absolute overload of nanny state bullshit incorporated in to it. No way to permanently turn it off - from driver distraction alarm, to oversight on the AC system, etcâŚalso the body is totally unprotected from any kind of off-road impact action. Thin metal, hood that flexes and warbles at speed, and
fuel burn in the same range as the IG.
The good news is that after 7 months - it was just sold last week - wholesale to a local dealer for $1K under my MSRP purchase price.
Knowing the that Lexus was going to be sold, I scored a nice buy on a MY25 1924 Belstaff buy from Regal Ineos in Roswell, GA about 30 days ago. They are a really awesome IG Center. Super staff.
Some significant changes from my Trialmaster - nanny state crap is gone. Steering is significantly better than my first one and will be further improved with the better ($500 unit) Fox Dampener and adjusting the steering stops to allow for significantly improved turning radius.
It will definitely be my daily as its a perfect utility/surf wagon. Just wishing that we would have been able to get the TD engine here. That said, the BMW B58 is a nice, smooth, and ubiquitous engine. Feels stronger than the rated horsepower. Also, I have an Ineos Center (Holman) 25 miles away - a big factor in acquiring another one.

I just really enjoy the off-road segment and love the wilderness. I also have access to an open field during the snow season and ever since taking a friendâs truck out on it, Iâve craved that excitement.
Iâve never had my own rig for being off the beaten path. I figured these vehicles would scratch that itch while getting to and from work and running my errands.

9/10 on the driveway. If you redid the pavers with a more premium item, weâd be at 10/10 here.
