Incentive Reductions and Removals

Thought it might be helpful to start keeping track of the brands/vehicles getting hit with reduced incentive programs.

So far I’m seeing the EQS sedan has lost $8,500 and the EQB has lost $5,000 in MIB dealer cash. Also the ZDX has lost the $7,500 fed rebate. BMW is holding strong it appears for now, will be interesting to see where Hyundai lands when programs update on the 8th. For now full incentives remain.

The fed rebate is good until 9/30. Maybe they jumped the gun a bit? Also they are US made and would qualify for the rebate the 30D way as well.

Yes it does seem they miscalculated. And possibly MB was expecting the $7,500 rebate loss to be immediate, so pulled back on dealer cash just in case.

no, it didn’t.

wrong benz added back $4000 to it yesterday -

I do not know where you are getting your information but I ran those cars in Mdesking and almost all of this is incorrect

Well that’s good to know. It’s not currently showing as available.

When the month turns over and the new programs roll out, the reporting databases often take a few days to be fully updated. You can’t accurately make judgements of what dropped off for the first few days.

2024 EQS and EQB dropped by what I said. What’s missing?

Yes true, for the ZDX all other incentives were updated, so I made an assumption. Maybe jumped the gun on that one. The MB incentives have dropped by what I noted.

Stacking EV credit and tax credit can be done according to USA Today:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/graphics/2025/07/05/trump-big-beautiful-bill-car-tax-credits/84450714007/

Until 9/30 - what cars fall under both credits ?

Lexus looks like it made changes recently, too. I’m in NC, and on July 3rd, they had $7500 in lease cash for at least the RX 450h+, but all lease cash PHEV deals seem to be gone from their website at the moment. I hope they bring them back once they understand the timing of the new bill.

US Built cars

  • Tesla
  • Hyundai 5 and 6 (Not N)
  • Kia EV 6
  • Chevy
  • Cadillac
  • GMC
  • Acura
  • Honda.
  • Jeep Wagoneer S

I think those are it, but I’m sure there are more.

I beleive the Lyriq as well.

Even the Escalade! Damn. That’s a huge SUV

The income limits are too low for anyone buying an Escalade. Also the hack sounds great on paper until you realize you took a 15k bath on depreciation to save 2k in taxes. Again the income limits are so low the deduction isn’t worth much.
