Ideas for vehicles with smooth ride quality and quiet cabin?

Maybe I can get there on a one pay on an i7?

I wonder how the Hemi ICE Ram is worth it compared to a Ford Lightning EV? Price and comfort both.

I will have to see what he’s offering on Marketplace. Unless of course he doesn’t ship to Michigan. Which is usually the case on here. I have noticed I can search Marketplace all day under subcatagory “Ships Nationwide” and then it says only certain states. Wish the admins on here could put a fix on that issue.

Highly doubt he does. Just use the Ford tag in the marketplace and look through brokers posts to see if they ship nationwide, usually indicated in their first post. If not, search within their thread. Not all use the nationwide tag, you have to do a little digging. It didn’t take me long to find a Ford broker who ships lightnings nationwide.

Sry misread lightning vs mustang

They dont use the hemi in the ice rams any more.

Our Lexus NX300 is the most comfortable and quiet car I have ever driven. I have driven it for 15 hours from NJ to Savannah and I’m sure I would not be able to do kt if drove it in any other car.
Ironically XC60 was one of the cars my wife and test drove on the day we decided to go with Lexus and XC60 seats were not as comfortable and fans were noisy when you turn on air.

Honda Prologue, Acura ZDX, or Cadillac Lyriq. Long wheelbase, EV, incredibly quiet with a smooth ride.

The point wasn’t that he could get you a Lightning. The point was that he said it was one of the smoothest vehicles he’s driven

No one can answer whether ICE rams or Lightnings are going to be more comfortable for you. You’re going to have to put your butt in those seats, press those pedals, and drive it for yourself.

Consider Toyota Sienna too… you’ll be surprised

Just can’t do a mini van.

If you have a Ford Lightning do you care to share your thoughts and experience?

I got a 24 lightning xlt- love this truck. I have driven a raptor and a mercedes s class- this drives very very smooth compared to the 2. Just look at size of the rear control arms!

23 Lariat. Coming from a Panamera before it and I’m genuinely enjoying the daily driving more. It’s a truck so obviously the handling is night and day, but the ride comfort is just as good and in some cases better (harsher bumps are smoother). They did a great job with the suspension. I drive in pretty heavy traffic every day for work, so the 1 pedal has been a dream. The regen breaking is so good, I barely use any battery on my commute. It’s also very roomy inside, even if you have the front seats all the way back like I do.

The Ford Pass app is a little crappy at first, but you figure out its quirks pretty easy and it’s been fine since. The main downside is that you can’t simply set a charge time window and let it “get you what it can”. You have to set a target charge %, which is only accurately predicted in the car. The app estimate is always off.

If you don’t have home charging or reliable and convenient charging, it’s a little bit of a headache. I’ve ran into a few chargers where the chord isn’t long enough, so I had to park like a d*** just for it to reach. It also doesn’t have full fast charging, so if you rely on public charging bookkeep an hour if you need a larger charge.

Thank you for the info! I have a Tesla Model 3 and I charge on a 110 now in Michigan and I only drive around 40 miles per day. It works ok. Will I get about 4-5 miles an hour back into the battery on a 110 volt? I recently moved to a new house and left my Tesla EVSE installed for the new buyer. I miss it already!

Wow! Better than an Merc S Class you say?

Anyone have experience with the Ford Mach E? How is the ride quality and cabin noise?

Sounds like a bad test drive experience? Did you make sure the tires were properly inflated? Having 21" wheels helps and definitely need those psi’s right at the recommended limit. Having the car both in Sport mode and strong regen eliminates most of the bounciness making it a lot more pleasant. Strong regen eliminates the need for abnormal braking with nosediving that’s sadly normal for EQS.

And, yes, non-AMG EQS offers a very soft ride, absolutely awesome for long freeway trips.
