I guess I forgot ![]()
Iâm very disappointed on how I negotiated that as well. Basically, I expected the $750 lease cash, lowest MF, an extra 3k on top of Kelly Blue Book value for my trade-in, and to pay sticker. I got almost everything (lowest MF, lease cash, and 2.5k extra for trade-in) except for the selling price - I paid $800 over sticker (1.42%) and didnât even catch it during the final paperwork. Basically, it ended up being $20/mo more than the monthly price I had calculated, and at the time negotiating I didnât think it was a big deal and felt like I was getting âextraâ for my trade-in. Now, I just feel like I got hosed paying above sticker for a car at the end of the month. Also, about $500 of that is stuff like the Lexus emergency kit, cargo net, etc. that I probably should have negotiated to 0.
I donât know what I was thinking. I did so much to prepare for negotiating and justâŚlet them charge me an extra $800 and smiled.
It hurts too that the best MF offered by Lexus (from Rate Finder) is about 7.66% APR when my credit union offers 5.6%. I know theyâre not equivalent, but still the MF seemed high.
Here it is using the Calculator â CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR
You canât have them remove things that are on the Monroney (window sticker) like the emergency kit, cargo net, etc. Last time I leased a Lexus those items were included as part of the total MSRP. All you can do is negotiate down the total MSRP to an agreed upon sales price.
Are we REALLY complaining about 1.42%?
Just give them a 0 on the survey and move on
A lot of cars are like this from the beginning. Unless it has massive rebates or high RV, no point in leasing. I have never seen a Lexus being a good lease.
2023 Lexus RZ currently has a 0.00021 MF and $20,000 lease cash.
Time for you to pick one up for $350 a month!
No thanks. German garbage only for me!
Is this a nationwide thing??? Maybe I need to pick one up! (as much as I like my Sportwagen, I donât think Iâll keep it past the warranty period, and my current auto ins carrier doesnât offer mechanical breakdown insurance)
Yes nationwide, special deals.
I mean, this entire site is about min/maxing leases.
But, your comment does make me feel better.
Thatâs crazy. Does the vehicle suck or something?
No. EQS has same rebates. Not alot of people like idea of EV and charging. This is just an incentive for people to buy.
Such an underrated film.
âSorry, I didnât mean to interrupt your screaming.â
As soon as they moved the incentives to $20k my local dealer went from having 20 2023 RZ 450eâs in stock to 0. Even though as of tonight, there are still 10 on their website. They were all spoken for. Despite the terrible range, I like the 30 days of free Lexus rental cars with any RZ lease. Just pick one up from Lexus for a week at the beach, etc.
Thatâs actually a useful perk.
More manufacturers should offer that.
One of my faves!
Just drive a little less so you stay under your mileage. The lease will look better, youâll save money on gas and maybe not need new tires. It will be a win-win, no regrets.
Yea, OP youâre driving too much.
