Husband unavailable, Zero Knowledge, Two Volvo leases to deal with, please help

Also thought I saw one was from Benedetto, possibly…he hasn’t been here in a few weeks tho.

I enjoyed a nice staycation in November.

The main concern is that you might think your payments are high currently but you might end up in a cheaper car for very similar lease payments due to the current market conditions.[/quote]

This. In Feb. I was eying Niro EVs for $129/mo. Now going for $329/mo or more. BTW hassle factor, and that fact you already love the car…

The deals here are pretty awesome… Does Volvo allow swapalease ?

No, they don’t.

If your husband has truly passed away (my condolences) and you’re not on any lease agreements, just stop making payments and turn the cars back in.

No need to make assumptions.

I sold my BMW to the BMW dealer after buying it out of the lease. They matched Carmax’s price, which was the highest offer I had from the big 3 (Vroom, Carvana, Carmax). Getting the title from BMW took a week using their expedited ($15) process. Sent certified check from my bank to BMWFS for payment.

Nevada has an expedited title process, only took 2 business days for a reasonable fee ($40). It took a week to snag an appointment at the DMV. Had to vulture the site waiting for a cancellation or it would have been a month.

As others have said, see what you can really get for your budget for a car as it’s doubtful you can get a decent deal. Keeping the older one and then walking away from the new one to rid yourself of that payment might be the best option.

Good luck.

Given that the OP stated that they have a Durable Power of Attorney it sounds like a situation where someone has become incapacitated, not that they have passed away. Best wishes to both of them.

Maybe he’s in jail? Yes, best wishes.

Exactly! A year old lease may be a “budget” option for now until the supply returns to normal. Plus you won’t need to worry about costly repairs with everything else going on in your life.

One other downside is that you may lose a multi-car auto insurance discount when/if you drop the second car. Make sure you do not pay for extra mileage as insurance is often based on miles driven.
