How to handle overspray on car at lease end

As others said hit it with a clay bar. I’ve seen clay bar work wonders. It’s slow but completely safe and hard to mess up. You could even try scratchx 2.0 or any other light buffing compound intended to remove scratches, with a soft pad—very very good chance you can remove the paint with they without hitting the car’s paint. That stuff is also magic.

I just bought a pre-owned Audi S5 convertible. I could feel some roughness (sandpaper like) feeling over the paint. I got one of the clay mits. As I washed the car with lots of soap, I sprayed detailer over the car as well and the finish is very smooth now.

Sorry to butt in, but this would make a great clown name.

Here’s a good clown name too

Hi everyone. Thanks again for all of your suggestions.

I contacted the painting contractor and they will pay for a detailer to remove the overspray. I’ll schedule the lease pre-return inspection for shortly after that,

Glad you were able to get this resolved!

Hope it’s a detailer of your choice- not their’s. A poor trained detailer could make things potentially worse.

Hi everyone,

The detailer sent by the painting contractor seemed to do a great job by my eye at least.

Will now schedule my lease return inspection and see how it goes.
