I really want to get out of my Infiniti lease. Any ideas? swap a lease says that Infiniti finance allows this but that I would still remain liable. So that’s out the window. there’s like -10k equity so I can’t buy and sell it. Am I just stuck with it? I would even stay with Infiniti, if I could get a different color, which is why I don’t understand why there isn’t a solution for this. They would get more months of payments and instead of a car 17 months older and with 13k more miles on it they get it now. I am willing to eat alittle bit of money but not 10k obviously, I only have 9k left in payments. ---

But that’s what the lease agreement is - it’s a binding contract both parties agreed to. Even transfers are a courtesy that lessors are not bound to honor, and can retract at any time. Limited options. Maybe another extended family member to transfer to? You are still liable as you pointed out. ---

so how does anyone actually list their infinitil that is leased thru infiniti financial on swapalease? How risky is it? Whats the worst case scenario? ---

What is this color that you despise so much? Seems like an emotional decision to potentially lose do much over a car color. ---

For the car I recently sold, it took less than 30 minutes to submit a request to every applicable buyer in this post. Even a wrap is a waste of money on a car with 9k payments left. A decent wrap is 3k+ and cheap wraps look hideous. If the color bothered the OP so much he should have replaced his lease with another car for himself instead of taking his wife’s car. ---

yea it was my fault. I asked my dealer( who is a seller on leasehackr) if I can get out early 2 months ago. he said probably not, but then looked into it and said yes. We went back and for about cars and options. i was waiting for the new 2026s to come in so I can get one of the black sport QX60 or QX80. Then when price time came he was adding in 400 or so a month to cover the loss from the return. I should have obviously cleared that up before hand, but the mistake was made. I figured worst case, I would list it on swapalease, but I didn’t realize that some banks dont let you do that with wiping out your liability. I assumed it was going to be easy to get out if a paid/lost a few bucks. Obviously I assumed wrong. Just trying to see if any out of the box options here. ---

You can also just transfer the lease and enter into a side contract with the transferee to hold them liable and indemnify you from any claims IFS has against you. But then you’d have to sue them to enforce it and actually get them to pay. So yes, either roll the dice on that or enjoy your white car for 17 months. As others have said, just wrap it.
