HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 2)

The wrangler doesn’t have a tow hitch without the tow package. The hitch is quick, easy, and cheap to add. The wiring to plug in a trailer to is not nearly as simple.

The tow package also gives you the aux light switches in case you want to wire in lights, etc

:point_up_2:. This is the better answer. Anyone can add the hitch, it’s the trailer wiring etc that’s tricky. If you’re planning to tow, just add the option. With a 9% discount and 60’s% MF it’s only a couple dollars per month.

I agree to just order the tow package. But installing the trailer/tow wiring kit is actual very straight forward. Or you could pay U-Haul $75 plus the wiring harness to do it.

According to Jeep chat all my parts are in and it’s waiting to built now. Praying for a Jan delivery before my BMW i3 lease runs out from my 3rd lease extension :grimacing:

Ordered 10/14: Sahara, body color top, saddle seats, gorilla glass, cold weather, Adv Safety + Safety packages, and trailer tow.

I bet you’ll find that by the time you pay for the hitch, the harness, and $75 for install, your net cost will be higher than if you just added it when you leased and you still won’t have the aux switches.

seems like Jeep is finally getting the HA parts shortages figured out with yours already going into assembly. Have any real pictures been released yet with the new HA wheels?

Just checked with JC - seems neither of orders are even scheduled yet…

You’re likely right, if not it’s break even and as you mentioned you don’t get the aux switches. I’ve transferred my hitch and harness across my 3 4xe’s so I’m certain I’ve realized some savings and enjoy doing stuff like this on my vehicles.

For you guys waiting on your 2022’s don’t hold your breath on getting them in January. We’re only 9 days away from January and not 1 has been built yet or even entered the build process.

99% of the time JC is wrong with their ETA dates and will only give general information . Dealer will have more accurate information via dealertrac system.

This is the best you get for now

Note that the sahara wheels now have a blue jeep logo

And black lug nuts are now standard

My other two orders haven’t been scheduled yet either.

They wouldn’t even give me an ETA, just that everything had arrived and was about to enter assembly. I reached out to the dealer for a ship ETA.

I’m pretty sure the 2022’s won’t begin until after the new year . They’re still finishing out building the last of the 2021’s.

There are 22s that appear to be entering the line today or tomorrow as they’re showing by jeepchat as being in trim, but yes, I don’t think we’ll see a lot of 22s come out before the start of the year.

What is the exterior color? Most likely doesn’t matter, just curious with the HAs if color means anything.

I just came back from Autonation today and they were a pleasant experience to deal with. The inspection took about 15-20 minutes and they are honoring their initial offer of $61,500 and I could of sold it to them if the plates and registration were here. The second possibly coming close would be Enterprise which I would need to take the car to but their offer was around 59,xxx. No other places were even close as they ranged from 55-56.

Yup, I will just take it to them. I gave ALGO a ring and they told me that since they are east coast, they will have to pay for shipping and it just wasn’t worth it to them since Manheim is at or around 59,xxx. I took to a few local dealers and it was just a waste of time. One dealer told me I couldn’t sell them my Jeep until it had 7500 miles because of it being out of state. Other local dealers just either was too much hassle, low price, or made excuses on why they couldn’t buy a leased car that wasn’t their brand. I also was asked multiple times on why I was selling a brand new car.
