HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 2)

Yeah Granger Iowa. Granger Motors is what they are called. (I believe they are better known as Granger Ford since that’s what the sales manager had in his signature of his Email but they have a Jeep dealer too)

Do you know how much of a deposit they require?

My car is on its way from Gupton. Tracking the gps and its in Philly right now. They going to put on a smaller truck and to Boston in next day or two. When I looked at the location - I noticed a place close by where one of the biggest and funniest meeting took place about a year ago. I circled in red.

Seeing discussion that tuscadero is only available to order through 11/30, so if you want one, the time is now.

Does anyone have a calculator, etc to estimate the unearned rent charge that would get removed at buyout? Havent been able to determine if it’s linear (1/36 of total a month) or heavily weighted towards the front like a mortgage, etc

monthly rent charge = mf*(adjusted cap cost + residual value)

It’s a linear application.

Also, the dealer in Granger does NOT do out of state leases (from what I’m being told). The offer is for purchase only, so I’m not certain where someone received that information…

By the dealer or by others?

I believe granger does 1% more if you use their financing, which may be the discrepancy there.

By the dealer. My initial contact was with a manager, but I think it is one of the salesman responding now. I had mentioned I had wanted the MF at buy rate, but there was nothing specifically discussed about leasing.

I had wanted to reiterate my terms and I was going to place an order this morning, when I received the surprise… He claims, per the direction of the owner, they do not do out of state leases. He also claims that he has never heard of a money factor before, so my optimism for his intelligence is nonexistent.

It’s certainly possible that they have stopped offering out of state leases, although I’m not entirely sure why they would care.

The fact that the salesman has never heard of a money factor before though leads me to believe he’s just making things up as he goes though.

Right. Then I can tell he was getting pissy “I’ve ordered over 500 vehicles for customers”. Buddy, idc if you claim that you’ve ordered 2 million; you don’t know your ass from a hole in the ground. You don’t know what a money factor is but you act like you know the book of leasing? :man_facepalming::joy:

More than one dealer has told me they do not want to do out-of-state leases due to identity theft concerns :-(.

I’ve hard this from multiple dealers when I’ve looked at BMW and others for my Fiance and they only had what we wanted up north.

Seems so weird to me that there’d be a bigger identity theft concern with a lease through ccap vs financing through ccap.

Dealers can be weird

And honestly, let’s say a dealer is in Jacksonville Florida. Is there a bigger identity theft risk in writing a deal for a customer in Savannah Georgia (very close but diff state), or one in Key West (very far but same state)?

But yes… No doubt some dealers make things up as they go along, lol

How soon can we get this thread to 10k? I’m taking bets.
