First time poster, long time lurker. I’m a leasing newbie, but my lady really wants to lease a new Mazda. Mazda beat out Subaru Crosstrek for her.
If anyone has Money Factor, residuals, and lease incentives/programs available for the different terms for a 2016.5 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring with the Tech package and activsense package that would be great.
A buddy of mine in NY shared their dealer invoice for the car with me, although it is a regional invoice price ($33,425)
CX-5 $29,870
Activsense Package $1,500
Tech Package $1,155
Transportation $900
I think it is very hard to get a good lease deal from CX-5 since its invoice price is very close to its MSRP and dealers cannot discount much off MSRP. Without a highly discounted sale price, it is not possible to get a good lease deal even with 62% RV
Your monthly payment would be around $350 if you can get around $1K off MSRP.
I helped a relative get a FWD GT lease in September on a 30/10K lease for $277 before tax. The sweet spot was 24/10 but it was only a couple dollars less and he wanted the longer term. The comparable 36/10k payment would have been $292 before tax.
MF was 0.00120 (vs. 0.00001 for 36mo) but the residual at 72% made up for the difference and then some. MSRP was $30,925 and selling price was $28,453. $750 loyalty rebate was applied towards drive-offs and CCR with the zero-to-drive incentive covering the first month for a true $0 drive off lease.
This was in NorCal. TX will be higher as the vehicle will be taxed on the entire selling price.
It’s pretty good. I was just showing how a 2016 RAM 1500 big horn with 48k MSRP can be had for 220 [0.5% MSRP] a month (with edmunds 1k incentive) but that would be comparing apples to carrots. Enjoy the CX-5
