For a lease it may not be worth it

Tons of online places to get the llc with an address

When you registered the car to MT the dealer may not provide you with temp plates.

So you may need to take delivery in MT.

Or trailer it/take your chances without plates

Insure car where it resides

In California, you should get a car transport invoice. (Getting the car on the truck may not need to happen). But once it’s off the dealers lot it’s your problem before the MT plates arrive.

they will not issue you California temp plates with a MT registration.

It’s a lot of work to save sales tax and maybe some registration fees. I wouldn’t bother for a car less than 200k
