I’m thinking it might only be the software fix, but have no proof. One of my dealers has 3 Hornet RTs but only 2 are now showing up on the updated Dodge.com inventory page. Those two have higher VIN numbers than the third. Not definitive by any means, just a guess.
Volvo also just issued a recall for similar issue. But it’s 20 min software update.
@jeisensc
hah. this whole time during the hornet stop sale I’ve been wondering if Volvo would ever fix the intermittent “camera unavailable” issue.
Can check the status by VIN here. And can choose to be notified, when the recall is resolved.
Thanks, super useful. So far every VIN i’ve checked hasn’t been fixed. Hopefully that changes soon.
I was just at the dealer with my Hornet last week and asked if they were leasing again and about the recall (not fixed on mine yet either). He told me that they were told there is an indefinite delay on repairs due to part shortages with no advisement of any date. I asked how that would affect selling remaining stock of Tonales and Hornets and he said that for now there’s an indefinite stop-sale for the foreseeable future.
My thoughts: Stellantis is absurd, how do they just expect dealers to endlessly sit on and insure inventory? How do they expect customers to drive around with wonky, defective cars indefinitely?
(dont even ask, my Hornet and Tonale have had a bunch of issues and I’ve only had them a month. Its a shame, they’re really great to drive for the most part outside of that.)
Apparently some cars just need software and others need hardware (radio). I had a few dealers reach out to say that they’ve heard a fix will be in place “soon”
Anyone have any updates?
Checked yesterday. There is no date for the fix.
Oh alright, thank you!
Also, the cars have disappeared from the Dodge and Alfa sites. Last week multiple dealers told me a fix was coming soon. Still a waiting game, i’m not going to believe much of anything until I see cars marked as being “fixed” using the link @Ursus posted earlier
EDIT: The recall doesn’t show any update past April 15th, so for all we know the software update or hardware (radios) could be on their way to dealers, but we won’t hear anything until cars start getting repaired and show as “fixed” in the tool.
I am not an expert but why 2025MY doesn’t have those problems? They knew about that and fixed that on MY2025. How come the software is not available yet?
Some people have already been getting software updates when they go to get a service, which makes no sense??? (2024 hornet’s)
Apparently some cars need new radios. Doesn’t seem THAT difficult to resolve, also, why only the hybrid models. None of it is making any sense right now.
It’s about to be on stop sale for approx 2 months lol
There’s someone in the “Signed” forum who claims to have just leased a 2024 Tonale Hybrid. Every 2024 VIN i’ve run through the Mopar Recall tool shows as “Incomplete” while the 2025s are showing as Completed (maybe just software?). I commented on the thread asking the OP to run their VIN through the tool, curious what comes back.
I saw that too and thought there was a typo. I wonder if he signed earlier and just posted now?
Was wondering the exact same thing, also no details on MSRP, DAS etc. Curious if it might have been a 2025, but the MF on those is significantly higher. They did mention it was a lower MSRP (sub $50k) and I haven’t seen too many of those kicking around. Mainly has been Veloce models for Tonale
Could be an uninformed dealer but idk how they wouldn’t get a pop up in their system.
