Need help with the Leasehackr calculator on a deal that appears to be real:
Saw this at my local Honda dealer for $249 + tax lease on a 2025 Prologue and can’t figure out why the numbers don’t work.
They ran a soft pull and was told I am a tier 1 credit so I got the lowest MF of 0.00181.
In addition to the HFS credit, EV tax credit, and loyalty, the dealer was giving me $1000 for returning to them.
Why are you gov fees $3k+ in your calculator
Your residual is wrong. Your Gov Fees are too high and are missing Doc fee.
This is what it could be:
Ah, so the dealer discounted the price by 10% ?
Your numbers much better as the dealer did verify that we would get the deal for $249 + tax.
Difficult to say, you should get all the breakdown, otherwise we’re just assuming here.

Perhaps the dealer is giving the base rate in the mf, however, and I only say this due to your wording:
I can’t tell if they told you that you were getting the base rate or you’re making an assumption?
A person with a high credit score is eligible for the base mf, not entitled to it. Only pointing this out for your knowledge. We see deals all the time on individuals with high credit scores that also contain marked up mf’s.
When does your current lease end?
We don’t currently have a lease - all our Honda leases have converted to buy out.

$249 seems like a phenomenal deal ?
But this isn’t $249. This is more like an effective $440/mo… which tells you nothing without working out what a good deal on this actually is.
$1000 is Honda’s loyalty. Your dealer isn’t adding anything on it.
I wonder if Honda is losing money on these ?
Dealer had 60 Prologues in stock and most of them are the Touring 2WD trim…
There were a LOT of people test driving and going thru the numbers for these.
It’s right there in the text “…actual amount may vary.”
