Honda needs leased CR-V back

I brought it to the dealership with video of the leak and they had it for roughly a week (with no loaners available). After a bunch of “testing” they couldn’t replicate the leak so they had me pick it up saying that they think the drains were clogged and that they must have cleared them while doing the tests. A couple of months later - we got heavy rain again and while driving on the highway, the leak came back along with the musty mildew smell from water leaking directly into the HVAC vent from the A pillar. There is also some wacky electrical issues that I suspect could also be from the leak. Their service dept manager told me that he hopes I’m not planning to buy this car at the end of the term and that I should try to get out of it ASAP.

It may only help you if you buy another Honda, or find a dealer with a Honda franchise that has a car you want. You could buy out your lease and then flip it to one of the other places, but then you would have to pay termination and registrstion fees and taxes. Not really worth it.

First of all, i would separate these two transactions to have a clear picture of both deals.
Try also Rodo, autonation and driveway. They can buy Your CRV.

Thank you so much for these leads! I really appreciate it. I did so many searches for who could purchase my Honda and couldn’t find anyone. I thought I was stuck with a dealership.

Does it matter? Whether he’s playing or actually dumb.

And then they’re lowballing you $2,100 below Carmax which has never been the highest bidder anyway in my experience.

Walk away.
