Also, thanks for your service.

I would have gotten an XC40 for $50+ less a month, but everyone seems to love the CR-V for some reason.

CRV ticks a lot of boxes for non-driving enthusiasts. Practical, well-pacakaged, efficient, inoffensive in driving and appearance. Basically reliable.

For the “turn the key and who cares what’s happening under the hood” crowd a CRV is a perfect commuter.

I passed by an XC40 T5 Rdesign, white with a black top. It really looks good IMO, from the front at least.

I guess I never really looked at it.

I agree its amazing to drive

Total incentives and dealership discount was 1680.
Cap cost reduction 500

They’re talking about the Volvo, not the Honda.

You’re still combining the dealer discount with incentives. There’s no way to gauge the deal as you don’t have any numbers.

You already signed so just enjoy the car, it doesn’t matter at this point how bad it is.

It’s not a terrible deal, but there is definitely more value per dollar in the XC40.

With that said, it is still a reasonable payment. Enjoy the car and thank you for your service!

By what metric?

A preference metric.

Why would I spend $350 a month for a CR-V when I can get a better equipped XC40 for the same or less (with rebates)?

  1. Preference is not a metric.

  2. XC40 is way too small to be considered an apples-to-apples substitute for a CRV. It would have to be an XC60, and I’d be surprised if you got a better equipped 60 for same or less.

They just made the 1.5T standard on the entire line-up and this generation Honda CR-V won Motortrend’s best SUV in 2018. Lots of value packed into a vehicle although Honda’s don’t normally lease well from what I’ve seen as compared to competitors in the same class.

If this engine still has the oil dilution issue, that’s far from a positive. Hondas are overrated

I don’t own any Hondas but don’t necessarily agree they’re overrated.

Here’s consumer reports on your XC40:

Are we again rating already signed deal when nothing can be changed?
just get on with buyers remorse😂 and talk to us BEFORE signing

They make a big deal about that gear shift knob. I don’t think its that big of an issue.

XC60 might be a little bit more, but the interior styling and quality makes up for the difference. Also, I am not a huge fan of the CVT, but it may be better fuel economy wise.

CR-V is a great car, and the people I know that like them keep there cars for many years.

Sir I challenge you to a duel.
