Honcker Locations

I got the Honcker app but it doesn’t work in the Pittsburgh area. Does anyone have a list of locations it works in? Or does anyone know of a place close it works? Thanks

Good luck finding a list of cities. It seems to be a closely guarded secret. I saw a statement by Honcker, either on their website or in response to an app review that said there was a list on the App store, but I couldn’t find one on the App or Play store.

I do know they are NOT in Chicago. I installed the app a couple of weeks ago, but no deals were listed. I assumed that they weren’t here yet and posted same on a review. They replied that they were coming to Chicago “soon”. I think that means they may or may not come to Chicago and it may possibly happen in the next year or two

On their Twitter acct back in April they posted that Houston is their next target opening, but they haven’t posted any update on that. Again, a closely guarded secret, I guess.

There was a Honcker rep on here @HonckerLeasing, but there are no posts since Dec '16.

It’s not active where I live so I changed the address to my sister’s house outside NYC just so I could see what the deals are. I find it a useful resource obviously I can’t use it to actually lease a car.

Honcker isn’t available yet in Pgh…I tried as well.

Central Wisconsin isn’t active yet either.

I wanted to see what offers could be found in the Boston area but deleted the app when I saw how much personal information was required up front.

Same as others. I downloaded the app to see what kinds of deals they could do but I deleted it based on the amount of information that was required in order to get started.

I see that it does require a soft credit check in order to get started in the process, this is simply to ensure the dealerships who partner with the app have serious customers.

Are you guys signing up for honker?

Worth all the information you release,?

I didn’t have to enter my social security number to register, my address/DOB was sufficient. I was hesitant at first but then realized all of the information they request is information that is publicly available about me with 5 minutes of internet research.

I bit the bullet and registered (suburban philadelphia). Here are my observations:

  • most car brands are not available (I checked for Mercedes, Audi, Infiniti, Honda, Ford, and Jaguar and they are not on there)
  • 90% of the cars I can see say N/A as the monthly price
  • The pricing I can see is mediocre at best. Granted its early in the month and that might change but for now they are not impressive at all.
I actually reached out to them about the lack of brands available and got a quick email response asking where I was located. I responded and then never heard back.

Try changing the length of the lease. It might be set to something like 27 months, where a lot of brands may not offer that.

Its at 12k 36 mth. I chatted via the app and they said that they only have a few dealers in the Philly area which is why I see so few available makes/models.

In Central Florida only Hyundai/Genesis & Mazda are currently available.

Honcker seems like a pretty good app, honestly.

They might be in limited markets but , that in of itself is very impressive.

Nothing in Northern CA either

For those not seeing all brands, I had the same issue and as days passed more brands started to show up. Eventually I ended up doing the deal myself instead of honker as it was around 2k more, but for someone not willing to do the legwork I think it’s not a bad way of leasing.

Another problem that limits it’s usefulness is that they don’t want us to do MSD.in app or
at the dealership.
I contacted the customer service and asked them if they could contact the dealer to see if they can change the final leasing numbers using MSD. Honcker claimed that using MSD reduces the profit margin for dealership and thus not permitted.
I was under the impression that reducing MF hurts the corporate finance arm and not the dealer.

The Honcker rep was wrong.

Haven’t seen anything worth biting.

To be fair I’m only looking at the Giulia and 4 series bmw.

Edit: the only downside I’ve seen so far is that it won’t display what tier your credit is in.
If the deal is good that’s fine, still nice to know.
