I actually wish that all the cars were sold at MSRP that way every one gets the same deal… now there are a million different line items in a car price and that makes it virtually impossible to know what the “good” price is.
A few people do their homework and are able to get the “good” price and others pay a lot more to subsidize the “good” price.

that’s one way to look at it. But then if everyone paid MSRP would that be a good price? would the value change? because no one paid less… Tesla doesn’t discount, is that a better system…?
No one knows. everyone’s opinion is different, the age old question.

Can you help me with stacking offers? I am looking to replace my Volt in NJ with a newer one.
I qualify for lease loyalty $500
Pull ahead offer $1,000 it says stack with most offers
Farmers Bureau $500

Can I stack all 3?

lease loyalty and farm bureau are factory rebates that you can combine. pull ahead is between the dealership and gm financial.

Just got this offer and want to get all thoughts.

2017 Malibu LS
MSRP: 24,100
Sell Price: 21,984.45 (9% off)
Rebates: 4,250
Total Cap Reduction 4,250
Capped Fees: 97.50 (75 doc fee, 10 inspection, 12.50 waste tire)
Total Taxes: 772.31
Adj Cap Cost: 18,604.26
DMV: 300
DAS: 468.73 (DMV 300 + 1st Month 168.73)
RV: 65% 15,665
MF: .00135 (acq fee waived)

Rebates include (Comp Lease 1,500, Select Market 750, Select Model 1,000, NY Auto Show 500, Farm 500) with no lease cash. Based on what I hear, there is no lease cash on LS. However, I can’t get the same monthly amount to get LH score so any help with that would be appreciated too. When I put in my spreadsheet I get the same monthly payment amount:

Malibu LS (24/10k) / RV: 65% (MF .00135)
MSRP: 24,100
Agreed Upon Value of Vehicle: $21,984.45
Additional Cap Items / Fees: $869.81
Gross Capital Cost: $22,854.260
Cap Cost Reduction: $4,250.000
Adjusted Cap Cost: $18,604.260
Residual Value: $15,665.00
Depreciation Amount: $2,939.260
Rent Charge: $1,110.324
Monthly Tax Total: $359.401
Total Base Payment: $4,408.985
Lease Payments: 24
Base Scheduled Payment: $168.733

My dilemma is that I feel I can save more on a Malibu LT w/ MSRP 26,000 because there is a 1,200 CCR lease cash available. If I guesstimate with that I calculate almost $36 less per month for more of a vehicle.

Malibu LT (24/10k)
RV: 65%
MF: 0.00135
MSRP: 26,000
Agreed Upon Value of Vehicle: $23,400.00
Additional Cap Items / Fees: $975.00
Gross Capital Cost: $24,375.000
Cap Cost Reduction: $5,450.000
Adjusted Cap Cost: $18,925.000
Residual Value: $16,900.00
Depreciation Amount: $2,025.000
Rent Charge: $1,160.730
Monthly Tax Total: $282.734
Total Base Payment: $3,468.464
Lease Payments: 24
Base Scheduled Payment: $132.739

Sorry I know it’s a lot of info but thoughts? What would you do?

@ChevyPhil Hey would you happen to know the residual and MF factors for various Buick Enclaves (24/36 months and 15,000 miles a year) and which ones have the highest residual. Could you post them. Also do you know what incentives and hidden rebates there are for them this month (44136). Thanks and much appreication

yea, but the weekend is crazy on the lot. send me a message or a text during the week and i’d be happy to pull that for you.

Hi,

I live in NorCal (94109) and I’m looking to lease a Trax with AWD. What is currently the best deal?

Thank you in advance for your help!!!

yea, that’s a good deal. lots of rebates of these which is making them lease great.

your probably confusing yourself with too many numbers. just focus on the sales prices (yours is good) and the MF. im not sure what other dealers in your area are doing. contact a different dealer and just ask them what mf they will do. that’s it. then compare MF and go with the best.

if your in the bay area call or text me and i’ll find you a vehicle at the lowest price and base MF.

Anyone know of a local dealer in the NY/NJ/Tri-State area who is easy to work with and actually
wants to move a car?

All of the dealers I’ve spoken to have either given me ridiculous numbers, played around with the incentives, changed around residual values/MF.

When I tell them I should be under $150 a month all in on a 2017 Equinox LT AWD, they tell me Im crazy. I had 1 dealership give me a monthly of $280. I told him, I wouldnt even pay that for a 2018 model.

Frustrated dealing with scum. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Phil, what are your thoughts on using GM Employee Discount in these lease deals? Sometimes it seems like folks are negotiating better prices without GMS than with it?

@Ben - you stole my name!

hey bigtuna…bridgewater chevy was offering some great looking numbers on their website…one other user was going to try them out. i’m curious if they are legit…but, just in case you are interested.

fyi…ive been getting same treatment here in chicago…chevy trax…$269 with $3K down…OMG, it’s like i’ve got “SUCKER” written all over me.? couple dealers on here offering trax for $125 after tax per month with $0 down. such a crazy differential. :frowning:

@chicagoster

they all have that adverstisement but then play the “oh thats only a red tag car and its sold” deal.
1 dealer didnt even want to talk numbers on the phone and wanted me to drive 30 miles to come in. (yeah right). Another dealer just called about 20 min ago and said he’s legally not allowed to tell me the money factor and residual with the numbers he’s calculating (hahahhah). Came up with a price of $290 a month on a 2017 Equinox 1LT AWD (24 month 10K miles). What a joke.

It’s funny when you hear them mumble when you ask them to show their cards and how they’ve come to their figures.
