Help with Mercedes Lease End Inspection and Leasing Another Mercedes?

Hi everyone, my lease for my C300 is ending in a matter of days. I have scheduled my 3rd party inspection with autovin this Friday. Should I go ahead with the inspection? I only have 1 to 2 visible scratches and I believe it’s not bigger than a credit card. I have heard this inspection is optional?

I am unsure if I should cancel this inspection and just skip what I might guess is an optional process. I plan on leasing another vehicle through MBFS and I know I have a $500 credit for any damages, but I’ve heard dealerships are extremely forgiving as long as I lease another vehicle with them.

So I’m wondering if I should just skip the 3rd party inspection and just say up front, “forgive any damages I may owe as a reason for leasing another vehicle from you?”

Thank you

why skip it, it’s free and you’ll know exactly what you owe. You dont want to leave the door open for them to hit you on the backend with unexpected charges.

Get the inspection

Thanks for your response. Right, but I’ve heard AutoVin (3rd party inspector) are extremely thorough, and I’m wondering if just skipping the entire process and by going straight to the dealer they would “forgive” any kind of damages as I plan on leasing another benz, rather than having an actual record of damages from the inspection that would make it harder to dodge them if that makes sense.
