Help with BMW Lease Transfer

Are BMW dealers offering a for-fee service to existing customers who are looking to transfer their lease? Seems like it would be service they could easily charge for where they try to match customers. My wife recently suffered an injury and I have to get out of lease because the car I’m in doesn’t work for us. Is it best to just list it in Private Transfers and see what happens?

I sold my lease via craiglist and this forum several times. It is fairly simple, just one phone call to provide an email address for the new leasee and BMWfs does the rest.

Swap a lease is generally a more robust market for people looking to get in / out of leases. LH is more focused on new car deals

You can post in Private Transfers here and https://www.swapalease.com/

No, as those platforms already exist online and elsewhere, as noted above.

Plus the dealer is in the business of selling cars from their inventory. It would make zero sense for them to invest time/$$/manpower on a niche service like lease transfers that would only cannibalize their new car sales.

Plus not as many people transfers leases as one may think. It’s a niche area and we’re lucky that BMWFS has an extremely efficient process.

As it is, many lessors have done away with lease transfers or have archaic transfer processes in place.
