He Earns $1,000 a Job—and He’s a Car Dealer’s Worst Nightmare

I think there’s a couple of reasons why this guy got ran off the forum with his tail between his legs.

  1. He is just not competent at what he claims he’s good at.
  2. He operates in a legal grey zone where a lot of claims are made but it comes down to “trust me bro”
  3. He seems to be more interested in self promotion on social media over actually doing a good job for his clients. In many businesses, the best of the best don’t need to self promote on IG or whatever, the results speak for themselves.
  4. He charges for effort and not results. This makes sense in a lot of businesses like law but as a quasi car broker/negotiator? That makes no sense. Why would I pay you $1k upfront to get no guarantee of results, time or even effort besides “trust me” bro?

This is all from a customer standpoint and not a broker or lawyer’s perspective

Where did you find hate or anything else in my post? Lol

It was said in jest, knowing this will provoke a discussion. Personally, I couldn’t care less about the guy.

I mean I am sure we have brokers on here who aren’t truly licensed so just a work around always. NC laws are very lax too.

Most NC buyers I know, just hear a “discount” and take it. My friend payed MSRP for his Sienna, where this broker states he can get up to $5,000 from his videos.

Yeah, most states are lax on the actual regulation since it’s not large dollars and many seem to have lax regulations to begin with (i.e. NY only requires a surety bond without any application or license given from their site). If a broker refunds a fee, people aren’t going to complain unless there was a royal eff up.

A bigger similar business is the business brokers/consultants who help facilitate business sales without a real estate license. In NJ, don’t see any of these guys being chased after and we’re talking huge dollars in commission/fees they take.

I feel like when he makes you pay up front it cuts out the part where he’s a middle man(maybe). At that point you can define it as you’ve hired a personal shopper, which should totally be allowed.

Super gray area though

You can’t compare an unlicensed electrician to an unlicensed car broker. For starters, there’s the risk of fire from bad installation, lack of insurance, etc. An unlicensed car broker carries no danger. You see the deal you’re getting and you can walk away if its not good enough. Let’s not compare the two as if there’s some sophistication to what car brokers/dealers do; they are not scientists - they’re business people. The entire sales industry is under the delusion that its more important than it actually is.

Shade Elmo GIF by MOODMAN

I’ve watched a couple of his streams, this man will spend hours on the phone to dance around that he is in fact a broker. He plays games with green pea BDC people to make it look like he’s doing something for the client. The reality is more likely that he has a relationship with the fleet department in major metro areas and the whole back and forth doesn’t last for more than 10 minutes which is bad for engagement.

He has more fiduciary duty to his clients than car brokers here. His lack or unwillingness to get a license is irrelevant to the discussion. Most of the time, especially in these business walled gardens, a license is more of a gatekeeper than it is a test of competence. This isn’t an industry based on science and innovation. It’s a business - one that is heavily gatekept.

Car brokers here have split priorities between satisfying the dealerships they have arrangements with and the customer. That alone makes most deals in the Marketplace substandard (not all). And unlike RE, you can literally compare this guy’s performance to similar deals posted in the Marketplace.

Let’s see the data on the quality of deals this guy’s gotten before we denounce him as inferior to brokers here.

uh what? The guy can’t tell you in unambiguous language about the exact services he provides much less have fiduciary duties lol…

Awesome! Please show us the data on the deals he’s done. I would happily eat crow if he can get me 911 GT3 RS at MSRP lol.

His dream car is a Turbo S. You won’t be able to daily your dream car like him.

I do like the Emil guy though. The origins of black on black with night package. Guy has good taste.

I can get a GT3RS for MSRP too! I can say a lot of things but unfortunately this guy doesn’t provide any proof or evidence of his alleged skills

Bro can’t even do his dream car right and asking us to trust him with $1 to 2K lol

I’m very glad that we don’t have pictures of all the people running the broker accounts on here because these look like three of the dumbest people alive.
