I believe GM will drop the acquisition fee if they bump the MF by .00055? The Equinox I was looking at several weeks ago had that option listed in some of the posts on the forum. The dealer I spoke with would add the extra to the MF and eliminate the $595.00 fee on the Equinox. It actually would have lowered my payment a few dollars on a 24/12k lease.

Yes this is true. Many of the low cost 24 month leases, the $595 is a few dollars more per month than the extra .00055 MF. Also reduces the total liability so a slightly better chance to trade it or sell it for at least a wash.
