Hi community,

I found a great deal on a 2024 demo Blazer EV (~65/month effective / ~7500 miles per year). I don’t like like the car, but it is hard to say no for this value. I have a friend that is moving to the US in ~4 monhts, so I thought I could get the car now and transfer the lease to her when she moves. My questions are:

  • How easy is to make a lease transfer?
  • Since it will be a one-time payment, how does that work?
  • Does the person needs to qualify for all rebates I qualify?

It’s going to be very very unlikely for her to qualify for the lease transfer.

Is it because you need to qualify for the rebates? Credit score won’t be an issue (for another reason)

A. GMF already have the money. You’d need to be reimbursed by the person taking over the lease.

B. No but they’re going to need to be approved for a lease transfer

She doesn’t need to qualify for any rebates. Credit history is also important as her credit score. Keep that in mind.
