I just got my bolt and the dealer told me that they want to move these cars before the tax credit expires and they become much harder to sell.
Sounds like they changed their tune since this article:
The tax credits are only $1875, so it’s not a huge amount.

Exactly my thoughts…they are full of 
… sales tactics.
What makes you think they changed their tune? I’ve seen nothing indicating the price will drop once the credits evaporate.
Well going from $2,500 credit to the $8,250 credit for one thing.
Did you read the article? They are doing exactly what they said. They didn’t lower the MSRP and are working with their dealers by offering better incentives to push the Bolt.
Asked why GM is not cutting the price to account for the lower tax credit, spokesman Jim Cain said “it is easier to react to the market by working with dealers and your marketing team than it is to change sticker prices.”

I did. I just think that offering the huge incentives are pretty much the same as lowering msrp.
Search this forum for Bolt 2017 deals…hint: at that time the credit was full and the discounts were just as big as today. This is nothing new.
Not at all. Chevy was not giving $10k rebates on the bolt when the 7.5k credit was in effect. They were giving around 5k and supposedly giving a higher RV. The one pays were around 10k to 11k and the deals were on LT not premier.

Right, but the high RV was from GM financial (about 10 points higher) so I consider that part of the discount. The one pay for SoCal was at ~$8000…and on the LT like you said.
Looks like i go the year wrong, it was end of 2016. I can’t find the tread with the one pays but you can tell from the front page post it was about $8k here.
