Give lease to family member

Hi all,

I’m curious if there’s any way I can transfer liability of a car to a family member. Basically, I don’t mind leasing it under my name and making the payments and even being responsible for the cost of repairs at return time, but if that family member gets into an accident, I don’t want it to affect me or my insurance. Any thoughts?

Have the person take out insurance in their own name. You’d both be paying premiums on the same car though
