Getting the New Car Itch again

Continental crazy? I did a quick Google and it doesn’t seem so crazy…more like just a bad choice.

$45,485 MSRP
DUE AT SIGNING: $3,728

You probably could get them down to just drive-offs and $450 incl tax.

Right about the bad choice. The deal I saw was awd and north of $550.

I’ve considered this from time to time but get nervous about run-ins with the law. CA license and address but vehicle is registered in Montana… To a PO box? Am I thinking correctly?

In the words of Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon i’m too old for that shit.

It’s not worth the nervousness…

california says all vehicles primarily driven in california need to be registered (and hence taxed) in california. they encourage people to report non california plated cars.

Registered not to a PO BOX but to an LLC in Montana.
As for driving in another state, of course you are allowed, but if this is going to be the primary state, then you need to carefully consider tax and insurance issues.

Gotcha. It seems this is more common with collectors than casuals like myself. The only folks I know who do this are the ones who own cars that are valued greater than my total net worth.

I also suggest the Q50 Red Sport. read a couple of the forums here and see there deals.
