I’m just trying to find some options. I have a 2017 Nissan leaf, and i pay 160 per month with about 24 months left. Unfortunately, Nissan doesn’t let you get off the lease and add someone else instead. SO I am curious if there is a way to get a dealer to buy the lease? or something along those lines. I am trying to get on these deals with the c300 sub 300 prices (obviously it’ll be higher with this rolled up on it) I’m not sure exactly what I can do and curious to hear some options. Thanks!
Was your lease through NMAC? If so, they do allow lease transfers.
they do, with the stipulation the original lessee remains liable for the remainder of the lease term. That’s a big risk, depending on how bad someone wants out of their Nissan.
Yeah my lease was through NMAC, but the clause of having me liable for the remainder of the lease is too big of a risk.
Ok, I misunderstood what you stated. Find out your buyout price and see what the current value is. I would guess that you have a huge negative equity amount, so it wouldn’t be worth it to trade-in.
