I have to admit Iā€™m surprised the G90 lease is sitting squarely in S500 and 2023 740i territory. Those competing vehicles have higher MSRPs too. Iā€™ve been eyeballing one (G90) and would be interested if the lease was priced a fair amount under an S500 or 740i. What is the MF for the G90?

I have no idea what the G90s sales numbers are, but regardless- Iā€™ll sip my Sleepytime tea and ponder their pricing model as I go to bed.

I agree. Both the 2022 S500 and 2023 740i have a higher residual (8-15% higher). And the S500 is going 10-12% off sticker

The 2023 G90 needs a few more months before they will start leasing well.

Less than 1200 in 2022, which is by far the lowest full year sales total since introduction. Historically Genesis has countered the lower residual with a super-low MF like what the G80 has (.00002) and trunk cash like a Juvenileā€™s 1998 hit ā€œback that a$$ upā€. Additionally, there was a period of time when Genesis/Hyundai nearly had an insurrection (dealers walked out on a ā€˜council meetingā€™) on their hands because they were essentially taking all future allocations from dealers who werenā€™t committing to building genesis showrooms or had bent the knee and signed a partnership agreement.

When it was a joint showroom set up dealers could also take, what they called at the time and still may, ā€˜dealer couponsā€™, and stack those puppies on top of lease incentives. If you were willing to travel there was even more aggressive regional incentives (especially in the south). You could easily be upwards of 15k in manufacturer incentives (including the old Uber incentive) before a 2 digit dealer discount and get a sign and drive g90 for well under 700 incl tax & fees with a low 40ā€™s residual (not possible today lurkers). Even if you wanted to buy it the strategy was to take the lease incentives wait 3 months to not screw the dealer and refinance the car you just ā€˜savedā€™ 25-30k on. Those were the days.

@Omegaautogroup do the coupons still exist?

My winter beater is a Genesis 4.6, v8 RWD with blizzaks, tremendous fun in all seasons.

No dealer coupons on the G90 yet. The model year is still too new and there is not enough inventory (less than 10 in CA right now) for dealers to start cutting prices or for Genesis to start issuing coupons.
