I have a current PO for this lease I am picking the car up next week. Is this a good deal? If someone can point me to a dealer that can beat this, I am pulling the trigger by January 4th.
Including everything
Drive Off Amount 3000
Monthly Payment + 6.25% MA sales tax $401.24
Zero drive off shows $485 on your calculator, seems like a lot for Hyund…I mean Genesis. I wouldn’t pay $485 for a car that stickers at $39k. Discount seems weak, how many dealers did you contact? You look for an aged unit? Do 2020’s lease better?
That works out to $473 a month with just first at signing, nothing to write home about. I think there’s better options or more discount to be had, like 10%. Unless there’s tons of these being sold, which I never see when I drive around
I highly suggest taking @joeblogs advice and shop for hanging 2020 models. I’m seeing~$6500 in rebates, depending on zip and you should be able to get way more than $2k off (pre incentive) on these models.
Unfortunately these cars lease very very poorly, just like their cousin the Kia Stinger. Terrible residual value. Don’t get me wrong, I really think they are nice cars and I think there’s a lot of value in them at their msrp compared to other’s price point, but not for a lease due to poor RV and high MF comparatively.
The money factor isn’t terrible on this one, but agree the residual and the dealer discount aren’t great. I’m late on this but just noticed OP is in Massachusetts: they can probably save thousands if they can find a 2020 anything instead of a 2021 because of how personal property tax is calculated. It won’t the G70 lease better however (probably worse).
